The woman took her last breath in hospital and has not been named yet. Whereas, an Uber company spokesman said that if this incident we are going to suspend test trials for a short period of time in other regions.
Other officials of Uber Technology Inc. also mourned over the death of woman and tweeted to about the incident. CEO Uber Dara Khosrowshahi said on Twitter that:
“Some incredibly sad news out of Arizona. We’re thinking of the victim’s family as we work with local law enforcement to understand what happened.”
This incident has made the launch of self-driving cars more difficult. Let’s see when in 2018 we come up with the news of a successful driver-less car experiment conducted by any company. But this has made one thing more prominent that eliminating the role of a human is difficult enough and may be it takes another year that we see driver-less cars on the roads.
