Fort Bala Hissar

 Fort Bala Hissar is a historic fortress. The fort was used as a royal residence for the Durrani Empire. The fort now serves as headquarters for Pakistan’s Frontier Corps. The fort’s is located on a high mound gives a panoramic view of Peshawar and the entire Peshawar valley. On a clear day, one can see the beautiful view of mountains encircling Peshawar valley and beyond. There is a small museum inside the fort.

Mahabat khan Mosque

Mahabat Khan Mosque is a 17th-century mosque. Also known as Mohabat Khan Mosque. The Mosque was built in 1630. The interior of the prayer hall is sheltered beneath three low, fluted domes and is luxriously painted with floral and geometric designs. The white marble covered front of the mosque is one of the most iconic sights in Peshawar.

The Peshawar Museum is notable for its collection of Buddhist artwork from the ancient Gandhara Empire. You can See Gandhara art and a large collection of Buddhist objects at the museum, which shows sculptures of Buddha and tells his life story. You must take a guided tour around the museum to gain a deeper insight into the displays.

Mughal Bridge

Mughal Bridge is a Mughal-era construction. The bridge is 100 yards long and six yards wide with six-foot tall pillars on each side. The pillars are topped with beautiful domes however two of the domes have fallen off. The bridge is still in a good condition.

The Jamrud Fort is located beside Bab-e-Khyber at the entrance to the Khyber Pass. Jamrud Fort is one of the oldest and historical place located at Peshawar. It is the very beautiful place to visit and refresh your mind.

Sethi Street or sethi mohalla is consist of seven houses built by sethis in famous Qissa khwani Bazar. These unique houses are a masterpiece of the art and architecture of Gandhara and Central Asia. The Sethi house is said to be a model for modern-day green architecture because of its perfectly built ventilating structures.
