Haleem is a paste like stew made up of wheat or barley, meat, lentils, garlic and ginger paste. It is also cooked for 6-7 hours and we get a fine grained paste. Haleem is also called Daleem and is famous among Pakistanis.
Chapli Kabab is popular dish of KPK and is liked by all over Pakistan. It is made from ground beef or mutton with various spices in the shape of a patty. It originates from Peshawar in northwest Pakistan. Chapli Kabab is also known as the Peshawari kebab.
The most famous and traditional breakfast dish in Pakistan is halwa puri. The deep fried bread “puri” is served with delicious “Soji ka halwa” and curries mixed with chickpeas and potato. When it comes to the dessert, Falooda is the most popular and delicious cold dessert among Pakistani. It is made from mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, sweet basil seeds and pieces of jelly with milk. Some restaurants often topped it off with a scoop of ice cream. The vermicelli used for preparing falooda is made from wheat, arrowroot, cornstarch. The taste is so good that everyone loves to eat it again and again and more specially in summers Falooda is the best choice to chill in a hot sunny day.
Whenever i see Gulab Jamun, my mouth watered because I love Gulab jamun. It is milk-solidbased South Asian sweet. It is made mainly from milk solids and Khoya. Khoya is milk reduced to the consistency of a soft dough. Dried or powdered milk is also used instead of Khoa. It is often garnished with dried nuts such as almonds to enhance flavour.
