In the wake of prevailing hatred speech, extremism and blasphemous content on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a public notice. Sharing Blasphemous Content on Social Media is Punishable Offence-PTA.

Anyone uploading, sharing or propagating blasphemous content on any of the social media platform is a serious offence and will be punished under different provisions of law.

The notice further shared the source where to register complain if someone find such blasphemous content shared by any other user.

In order to successfully cope with the issues of freedom of expression and social media violence in the country, PTA as always taken good initiatives. PAT also keeps on informing the general public individually via messages.

Being responsible citizens, we must play our roles and report such incidents on the above mentioned platform immediately. This could help our country to escape incidents like Mashal Khan killing in the name of blasphemy.
